On Friday in Room 6 Miss Buckley is celebrating with us. We each get to bring in something we want to celebrate. This week Lilia brought in her jazz shoes, she did a dance to show us her knowledge and shared with us how her Aunty is her teacher, that is pretty special. The shoes are a special type because you can't wear them outside and they help us to grip and slip when dancing.
Last weekend I did surf living saving champs, I got medals for all of the events I entered. I got 2 golds in running events, 2 silvers and a bronze.
I felt good after competing. At the end I won a trophy for coming in second place overall.

This week we got started on the Footstep Quest Challenge. The task was to draw a picture of a landscape, the students did such an amazing job, check out some of the examples in the photos below.
This year we have kicked off our lessons with Sports Canterbury, developing our touch rugby skills. We learnt how hold the ball, start the play by tapping the ball. It was a lot fun working together.
Last Week we were lucky enough to have Harold come to visit. We learnt all about how to be a team and what makes up a team.
It was lots of fun working together to out together a puzzle made from pictures from the book zoom, and it was helpful to learn about strategies we can use to solve problems when working as a team. As always Harold entertained us with his jokes and taught us how to have a good dance.
